Quartz Crystals With Golden Pyrite 497g

Dimensions: 9.2 x 7.8 x 6.8 cm

Origin: Bulgaria.

This is a beautiful and specimen of Quartz crystals and golden Pyrite.

The name “pyrite” comes from the Greek word “pyr” meaning “fire.” Pyrite was given this name because if it is struck against metal or another hard material it can create sparks and start a fire. Pieces of pyrite have also been used as a spark-producing material in flintlock firearms.

Pyrite is also famously known as “Fool’s Gold.” The mineral’s gold colour and metallic lustre often caused it to be mistaken for gold. However, pyrite is often found formed together with gold so in some instances there will be enough gold within the Pyrite to warrant mining.

Hand-specimens of pyrite are usually easy to identify. The mineral always has a brass-yellow colour and metallic lustre.  It is harder than other yellow metallic minerals, and its streak is black, usually with a tinge of green. It often occurs in well-formed crystals in the shape of cubes, octahedrons, or pyritohedron’s, which often have striated faces.

Folklore and Healing Properties:

Pyrite crystal properties protect the environment from negative energy, bringing an energising and optimistic energy to your space, so it is the perfect stone to place on your desk where you are working. Pyrite also promotes good physical health and emotional well-being. Pyrite is helpful for any type of infection and can purify the systems of the body.

Quartz is the most prevalent mineral found on earth. It is found in granite and other rocks, such as sandstone. This mineral has been used by mankind for centuries and has played an integral role in both technology and spiritual practices.

The Ancient Greeks referred to quartz as “krustallos” which is derived from the Ancient Greek word “kruos” which means “icy cold”. Some philosophers like Theophrastus, believed the mineral to be a form of supercooled ice.

Quartz is also the most common material identified as the mystical substance maban in Australian Aboriginal mythology.

Folklore and Healing Properties:

In spiritual cultures, quartz is one of the most commonly used minerals. Quartz is believed to have a specific vibration that can work with all seven chakra vibration levels to assist in healing and balancing. Quartz is found in many different colours and each are used to help with specific spiritual ailments. Clear-white quartz crystals are the most versatile gemstones available, they have the ability to promote clarity and stimulate the body’s energy field.
